Highland Lakes

Country Club and Community Association

Clubhouse Committee

Chairperson: Carol Hastie, 973-764-6521

The Clubhouse Committee is primarily responsible for creating, scheduling, organizing and conducting social (dances and parties) and community (blood drives) events that take place at the clubhouse. The committee encourages special events organized by volunteers (Trunk or Treat, Halloween Dance, St. Patrick’s Dinners, etc.) and select group activities (children’s playgroup, knitters club, ceramics club, etc.). The committee chair works with Club staff on the summer clubhouse activity program.

Activities and events which take place in the clubhouse by other committees and groups are of two types: those with their own line item in the Club budget (Art Show, Sailing, Goodwill Fund Community Yard Sale, Seniors Club, Concert Series, Fishing Committee, etc.) and those which do not receive Club financial support (Women’s Auxiliary, morning exercise, Red Hatters, Lakeside Café.) These are separate and distinct from this committee and do not fall under the committee’s jurisdiction. The Club office staff will have sole responsibility for managing the scheduling of all Club activities and events as well as all private rentals in the clubhouse.
