Turbidity Barrier Installed at South End of Main Lake

The Club’s environmental consultant, Princeton Hydro, LLC, has installed a floating turbidity barrier at the south end of the Main Lake. The barrier is designed to trap sediment that may be transported from the work site of the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company into the lake. Once ice begins to set in the barrier will be removed, and when spring arrives the barrier will be re-installed and will be maintained over the course of the summer months. Starting in March, 2012, and continuing through September, analyses of water quality within and outside of the barrier will be undertaken. Expenses associated with all of this work have been paid to the Club by TGP.
