Beach 3 reopens Sunday, May 27th

Beach 3 reopens on Sunday, May 27th after test results yielded a count of 30 fecal colonies per 100 milliliters (about 3.4 ounces of water), well below New Jersey’s standard of not more than 200. The retest was conducted on May 25th after unsatisfactory results of 2,400 were obtained from sampling conducted on May 23rd, canceling the opening of the beach on Saturday. All other beaches tested normally. Note that while New Jersey health regulations require that a bathing beach close if two consecutive tests exceed the 200 colonies standard, the Club closed Beach 3 in the interest of swimmer safety.
