Gauging Whether You Need Flood Insurance

According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), many lakefront homes in Highland Lakes sit within the agency’s Special Flood Hazard Area map, which means they are theoretically in jeopardy of flooding if a 100-year flood were to occur.
