Communications Committee in Search of Writers

The Communications Committee met Saturday, October 13 to discuss a variety of topics – all of them having to do with communicating effectively with members of our community. Now that our new website is up and running we’re working on ways to keep content on the home page fresh. We’re also starting to develop an editorial calendar for our Newsette which would encourage feature articles including informational topics on such things as septic maintenance; preparing your home and fireplace for safe heating; combating cabin fever by accessing regional art; helping your garden to flourish without damaging the lakes; and HL history – a snapshot at a time; to name just a few.

If you would like to submit an article for consideration or would like to volunteer to write a feature please let us know by sending an e-mail to communications@hlcc.org. Members of other committees and those who run special events should also consider submitting articles for us to post on the Club website. There is no need to wait for the Newsette to be published. You can promote your upcoming event, tell us about your committee’s activities, or share a photograph and a story about the lake by sending it to communications@hlcc.org. Our next Communications Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 13. All HLCC members welcome.
