Communications Committee Looking for Writers

The communications committee is in need of more Highland Lakes members who are interested in posting brief articles to this website. Writers will have a great deal of flexibility in choosing topics but are encouraged to focus on community related events, committee or voting board activities, and informative news about lake and property management. No experience is required. Committee members will edit articles if needed so don’t be shy if you think your writing is not up to par. Stick with us; we’ll make you a star.

For all you recent college grads who are still looking for a job – this is a volunteer position that will look good on your resume. For high school students – this is a position you’ll be able to talk about in your college interviews. Regardless of one’s age, volunteering for this assignment is an easy way to connect with others and help people in our community stay informed about current lake events. From start to finish articles typically take about fifteen minutes to post.
