Beach 6 Opens Sunday, June 30

Beach 6 on Indian Lake will be open Sunday, June 30. A test conducted on Friday, June 28, reported to the Club Sunday morning, yielded a count of 55 fecal colonies, well below New Jersey’s maximum of 200. The scheduled opening of Beach 6 on Saturday, June 29 was delayed after a test conducted on Wednesday, June 26, reported to the Club on Friday, June 28, yielded a result of 280.

Note that while New Jersey bathing beach regulations require beaches and pools to close if two consecutive samples exceed the 200 colonies standard, the Club closed Beach 6 in the interest of swimmer safety.
