Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!
The Wizard of Oz is coming to the Lake on Friday, August 9 at 7:30 pm. Highland Lakers, ages 8 to 17, will be performing scenes from the play and are sure to bring the same kinds of accolades heard at past Lakeside Musical Showcases. It is typically standing room only at these performances.
Rehearsals are at the clubhouse every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. There is still a bit of room available in the cast and stage crew for those of you who are considering making a debut. All are welcome.
This theatrical performance kicks off the Club’s fantastically popular Family Day weekend. The following day will be filled with activities galore on the clubhouse lawn and surrounding areas; an opportunity to picnic with friends (old and new); the lighted boat parade and a fireworks display that rivals Macy’s.
