Beach 7 will reopen Sunday, August 25 after satisfactory testing results were received Saturday evening from Garden State Laboratories, Inc. Sample results from testing conducted on Friday, August 23 yielded a count of 36 fecal colonies within the swim area. Two additional samples were authorized, one of each side of the swim area immediately outside the swim ropes. The other two samples yielded results of <10 and 18. All three samples were well below the state’s standard of 200 fecal colonies or less.

Water Safety Director Pete Jablonski performed an inspection of the entire shoreline by kayak of the lake and found no factors that would have influenced the poor testing results from earlier in the week.
