Budding Artists Bloom at HL Art Show
Calling all amateur artists…now is your chance to show off your talent. There may be a monetary award in your future.
With the Highland Lakes Art Show just weeks away, now is the time to figure out what you will be exhibiting on August 25. Art of every description is encouraged including paintings, drawings, computer graphics, photography, crafts, sculpture, needlework and quilting. Monetary awards will be given for Best in Show, First Place in all age and media categories, Best Photograph of Highland Lakes Scene, and Best Rendering of Tree.
It is easy to enter the show. While professional artists must pre-register, amateur artists are able to show up with their work on the morning of the show. Members of the Art Show Committee will be waiting for you at the Clubhouse on August 25. Registration starts at 9:00 am and ends promptly at 10:30 that morning. The entry fee for each entry is 50 cents. All paintings, drawings and photography must be ready to hang. The committee members will take care of everything else and your work will be returned at the end of the day.
