Each Brick a New Memory
The Path to Goodwill continues to grow as new bricks are installed before winter arrives. Thanks to the HL Women’s Auxiliary, all will have a comfortable place to sit as they enjoy memories the path evokes while taking in the magnificent view of our main lake. The Auxiliary has generously donated two benches that will be installed by Sam Lewin on either side of the path this coming spring. Sam, an active member who is always happy to share his skills for the betterment of the community, volunteered to replace the benches as soon as weather was conducive to the work that needs to be done.
The path is a perfect way to remember a loved one, celebrate an anniversary, or commemorate a group activity. Creative messages and heartfelt sentiments abound. The last installation before the weather curtails further work was recently completed. Any orders taken during the winter should reach the light of day this spring. All proceeds from the path are put towards the Goodwill Fund. The fund was started in 2005 to assist members with the payment of their dues. To be considered for assistance members must be in good-standing and have suffered severe financial hardship due to a life-altering event.
