Voting Board adopts electric motor horsepower limits

After considerable discussion the Voting Board, at its September 18, 2015 meeting, adopted a new Rule limiting the main propulsion motors of electric boats to 10 horsepower. The Rule does not include trolling motors in that limitation. The complete text of new Rule No. 7 may be read here. The Rule also reflects the Voting Board’s guidance regarding respectful and polite boating as wakes are disruptive to many others in smaller boats using the lake.

In a housekeeping matter, the board amended Rule No. 5, replacing the word sticker with permit.
