Voting Board Workshop – Wednesday, October 7
The board will be holding its monthly workshop tomorrow night, Wednesday, October 7. It begins at 8 pm and is held in the Lake Room. Workshops ordinarily fall on the second Wednesday of the month, however when the second Wednesday falls in the same week as the third Friday, workshop sessions are moved to the first Wednesday of the month. Such is the case this month.
Members are welcome to attend although they do not have the freedom to comment during the meeting. Comments from members are welcomed at the monthly board meeting which takes place on the third Friday of every month, except August when our annual meeting is held on Sunday afternoons. October’s board meeting is scheduled to be held on the 16th. Members who are unable to attend meetings but would like to receive a synopsis of what transpired, are encouraged to contact their trustee.
In addition to welcoming two new trustees (Patty Thompson-Section 3; and Ray Zimmerman-Section 6), the board has a full agenda for Wednesday’s meeting. Topics will include: a discussion about a draft revision pertaining to regulations for docks, swim floats and inflatables; a discussion about the need for pontoon boat dock space and consideration of introducing electric service at some dock space; comments on proposed changes to Rule 16 (formerly Rule 15) and Rule 23, both of which pertain to parking permissions; and comments on the architect’s report (previously distributed to board members) on Club decks.
