Recent Updates including 2016 Swim Team schedule and 2016 Boat Dock Application

We have a few updates for you to consider:

  1. Please take a look at the beautiful Community Map prepared by Tom Dolle, Chair of the Communications committee and the committee’s volunteers. The map shows the twelve geographic sections of Highland Lakes, and identifies community boating and recreational locations. An 11″ x 17″ copy of this map will be available for you when you pick up your badges starting April 18.
  2. The 2016 Parent Permission Form is now available. EXPIRED 8/15/2016
  3. The newest edition of the Newsette for March 5 is available with articles from 1st Vice President Sue Ross on governance in Highland Lakes and revisions to the Club’s Rules on docks, swim floats and inflatables by Trustee Bill Beardsley.
  4. Thanks to Ron Dupont, Jr. for permission to reprint in the Newsette for March 5 his thoroughly researched article  on how road names were probably chosen for Highland Lakes.
  5. The Swim Team’s 2016 Schedule has been released. EXPIRED 8/15/2016
  6. A new Boat Dock application is now available. The application must be used for docking space at Club Park, Comet Row, Beach 3 and Beach 4. Dock space at Eckhart Sailing Center will be reserved for juniors participating in the Club’s sailing program on an annual basis. The Voting Board has approved the purchase of a new dock for pontoon boats at Comet Row. Twelve (12) spaces will be available on this pontoon boat dock and an application will be required. These applications will be processed starting April 15. New applications are also required for anyone who currently has a permanent space at any of the above locations and plans to change the type/size of the boat they wish to place at that location. EXPIRED 9/30/2016
