Child Safety Day – Saturday, June 10, 2017 – 10 am to 1 pm
Come down to the Highland Lakes Clubhouse parking lot on Saturday, June 10, from 10 am to 1 pm for this exciting rain or shine event for the kids and important information for parents. This event is open to the general public.
Thanks to the efforts of Highland Lakes Security and the Vernon Police Department, volunteers from various police and sheriff’s departments will be on hand to check for (and demonstrate if necessary) the proper installation of child safety seats in any car. With help from volunteers with the Vernon Township Ambulance Squad, children will be able to tour an ambulance. Highland Lakes Fire Department volunteers will let children get behind the wheel of a fire truck. Unfortunately, the department’s Smoke House is unavailable on this date.
