Voting Board Workshop – Wednesday, November 8, 2017 8 pm
A Voting Board Workshop is scheduled for November 8. The meeting is held in the Lake Room and will begin at 8 pm.
First on the agenda is a presentation by Barbara Jaggi, chairperson of the Ecology Committee. Barbara will be discussing the pros and cons of implementing a Carry In Carry Out procedure for handling garbage disposal on our beaches in an effort to gauge the Board’s interest in having the Ecology Committee further research this topic. Other topics to be discussed include the proposal received from Princeton Hydro regarding a water quality and watershed assessment study of the lagoon; sales of vacant lots by Vernon Township; a review of projects related to the lake lowering and other matters.
All Highland Lakes members in good standing are welcomed and encouraged to attend. It is at these meetings that you will learn the business of the Club and the matters that are currently under discussion. Members are not permitted to speak at these meetings but are able to share their thoughts at the Voting Board Meeting that is typically held on the third Friday of each month. Our next Voting Board Meeting is scheduled to take place on November 17 at 8 pm.
