Highland Lakes

A Voting Board Workshop is scheduled for May 9, 2018. The meeting is held in the Lake Room and will begin at 8 pm.

Discussion will include whether the Club will seek a waiver from the new requirement of the New Jersey State Health Department that all beaches staffed by lifeguards be equipped with automatic external defibrillators, a potential rule prohibiting smoking and vaping on Club properties, the adoption of a policy to be followed in the event a tie vote occurs during elections necessitating a runoff election, proposed amendments to the By-Laws clarifying that only the Voting Board may authorize the use of combustion (e.g. – gas) motors on the lakes, and the expansion of the responsibilities members have when they rent their properties.

All Highland Lakes members in good standing are welcomed and encouraged to attend. It is at these meetings that you will learn the business of the Club and the matters that are currently under discussion. Opportunities for members to share their thoughts with the Voting Board are always available at the monthly Regular Meeting. The next Regular Meeting is scheduled to take place on May 18, 2018, at 8 pm.
