Boat removal from all docks and from boat racks on western side of Highland Lakes by October 14, 2018, please

Docks: All boats on Club docks must be removed by October 14, 2018, in order to provide time for the Club’s maintenance crew to relocate the docks for winter storage.

Boat Racks: This fall boat racks on the western side of Highland Lakes will be inspected and repaired as necessary. The program requires the removal of all boats stored on boat racks on the western side of Highland Lakes also by October 14, 2018. Once the racks and area are clear, any necessary maintenance and landscaping can be performed late in the fall and in the early spring.

Any boat removed by the Club is subject to an assessment for removal and storage fees in accordance with the revised rules adopted by the Voting Board. Any boat that cannot be identified through a Club permit, NJ registration, or hull identification number will be declared abandoned and disposed of in accordance with New Jersey law.

Avoid costly removal and storage assessments – remove your boats from all docks and boat racks as described above by October 14.

Rule 24 (C.) of the Club’s Rules and Regulations addresses storage after October 15:  STORAGE ON DOCKS and RACKS AFTER OCTOBER 15: All boats must be removed from Club docks not later than October 15 of each year. In alternating years, all boats must be removed from boat racks by October 15, as determined by the Boat and Dock committee and as published in the Newsette. Boats stored after October 15 in violation of this Rule will be removed to storage immediately.

Rule 24 (F.) provides for special assessments and penalties associated with failure to remove your boat.

In addition to maintenance inspections and repairs where necessary, boat removal from Club properties in alternating years – east side and west side, ensures that all boats are removed from Club property at least once every two years.
