Voting Board Regular Meeting – Friday, November 16, 2018 8 pm

The Highland Lakes Voting Board is scheduled to meet at 8 pm on Friday, November 16, 2018, in the Lake Room of the Clubhouse. Towards the end of the meeting the floor is open to members who wish to share their views on any Club-related topic. Time is permitted at the beginning of each meeting for members to express views on topics listed on that evening’s agenda.

The Voting Board will be updating authorizations with the Club’s financial institution authorizing incoming Board of Trustees Chairman Ray Zimmerman and Vice Chairman Lou Iannucci to countersign all checks issued by the Club’s Treasurer or President, a proposal to install air conditioning in the Seckler, Craft and Game Rooms, and a new rule making it clear that bubblers , ice eaters, and aerators may not be placed in any of the Club’s lakes or the lagoon, and that only watercraft, docks, swim floats, and inflatables bearing current membership permits as authorized under the Club’s Rules are permissible on the lakes. The new rule permits temporary ice fishing gear without requiring permission from the Club.

Attending board meetings and workshops is a great way for members to become knowledgeable about the issues that the Club faces, to gain an understanding of what various committees are working on and become acquainted with Voting Board Officers and the Trustees who represent the various sections of our community.
