Roadside Clean-Up Day – Saturday, April 27, 2019 10 am
It’s that time of year when the Ecology Committee needs you to help us out for 2 hours on Saturday, April 27 from 10 am until noon. We need to clean up all the debris that has collected on the roadsides this past fall and winter–cans, bottles, paper, etc. Bags and reflective vests are supplied. Please look around your neighborhood for places that need cleaning. We will have a map that you can view, and let us know where you wish to work, or we can suggest an area. The process is simple. You fill the garbage bag, close it and leave it in place. The Vernon Road Department will collect it within a day or two and that is why we need to know where you will be working. Please wear sturdy shoes and bright colored clothing, bring gloves, and we will be waiting for you on the porch at the Clubhouse. Please sign in at the Clubhouse the morning of the cleanup; all names from the sign-up list will be formally recognized in an upcoming Newsette. Last year we had 32 volunteers.
