Annual Meeting – Sunday, August 18, 2019 – 2 pm
Members in good standing are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of Highland Lakes Country Club and Community Association on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 2 pm at the Clubhouse.
It is scheduled to begin at 2 pm, but will only be called to order when a quorum of 5% of our membership in good standing is present. This translates into approximately 85 members with their 2019 membership cards in hand. If you are unable to locate your membership card on the day of the meeting, do not be deterred. We will have people on hand (in the Activity Center) who will be able to issue temporary cards.
Once the meeting is called to order and the Voting Board and committee chairpersons are recognized, members will hear remarks from President Sue Ross on key events of the past year, Ray Zimmerman, Chairman of the Board will address the members, Treasurer Bob Hughes will provide a summary of Club finances, and General Counsel Eileen McCarthy Born, Esq. of Dolan & Dolan will comment on current legal matters affecting the Club. The floor will then be opened to all members in good standing for comments.
At the conclusion of the open session the election polls will then open and voting for President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary, together with voting for Trustees for Sections 6, 7, 8 and 12, will be conducted.
The business portion of the meeting usually concludes within an hour of our start time and voting results are shared at the meeting once all votes are counted. Please take time out on Sunday, August 18 to participate in the meeting and hear firsthand from the leadership regarding the matters of importance that took place this past year.
