Cookie Walk and Holiday Party – Sunday, December 8, 2019 – 2 pm
What’s a COOKIE WALK? Everybody enjoys homemade cookies during the holidays. Here’s your opportunity to bake a bit of your favorite kind and buy a cookie tin or two of a wonderful assortment of other homemade favorites. There will be long tables set up in the Lake Room with the cookies that have been donated. Purchase a cookie tin or two, open the tin, put on your food-handler gloves, open the plastic bag, and start walking ’round the tables filling your tin. Two Rules: NO Sampling on your stroll around the tables and the tin MUST be able to close when it’s filled. There will be 2 – 3 sizes of tins to buy. Even if you’re not a cookie lover, it’s lovely to fill a small tin to take to a neighbor or as a hostess gift during the merriest season of all.
WHEN: SUNDAY, December 8 at 2 pm.
WHERE: Clubhouse Lake Room
**It’s very important to show up by 2 pm, because it’s a known fact the trays of cookies to empty very quickly!**
Want to participate by baking? EXCELLENT! Please bring a minimum of 6 dozen cookies or more – more than 1 kind is terrific! Bring your donation of cookies to the Lake Room at 1 pm on Sunday, December 8. Doors will open for the COOKIE WALK at 2 pm. Call Joyce at 845-544-3749 or call the HLCC office at 973-764-4366 to let us know you’re a great baker and want to join in the fun.
Stay at the Clubhouse afterwards for the Holiday Party at 3 pm. The Vernon Township High School Band will be performing and Santa will be arriving at 3:30. Another wonderful event on top of the mountain. See you there!
