POSTPONED: Community Discussion: Short-term Rentals – Saturday, March 21, 2020 11:30 am

Due to guidance related to large gatherings during this outbreak of the coronavirus – COVID-19, the Club has determined, in an abundance of caution, that large gatherings should be postponed for the time being. The Community Discussion: Short-term Rentals scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 11:30 am has been postponed indefinitely. All events and meetings are subject to postponement and/or cancellation based on guidance issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and/or the Sussex County Division of Health. The Club continues to assess the guidelines and may be cancelling additional activities, events, and meetings to achieve the necessary “social distancing” recommended by health authorities.

You are cordially invited to join members of the Voting Board in the Lake Room on Saturday, March 21, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., for an informal discussion about the effect short-term rentals (STRs) are having on and in our community. It’s an opportunity for us all to talk, listen and collectively assess the pros, cons, threats and opportunities STRs present. Members of the Voting Board want to hear your questions, comments, and concerns to help inform how we potentially revise Club rules, policies, processes and By-Laws related to STRs.

Every member who wants to share their opinion is encouraged to attend and participate. Members with specific complaints about STR-related issues are encouraged to discuss those concerns directly with their section trustee rather than at this discussion.
