Who should I call if I am injured, sick, hungry or require medicine?
Vernon Police and the Vernon Emergency Management Coordinator are handling these issues. If you or anyone you know is in need of assistance with meals, groceries, food for pets, online ordering or anything they are not able to do while we deal with this crisis, please contact the Vernon Police at their non-emergency phone number at 973.764.6155. They have a team in place and are ready to help.
What services will the Club continue to provide during this time?
The Clubhouse and Club Office are physically closed to members and the general public until further guidance about social distancing is received from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New Jersey Department of Health. The Club Office is staffed daily while others are working remotely, and calls to the office will be answered. Highland Lakes Security is fully operational while maintenance activities are limited.
Are meetings, events and activities postponed? Will they be rescheduled?
Currently all meetings, events and activities planned through March are canceled, and we’ll continue to evaluate the need for additional postponements and cancellations for future meetings, events and activities as needed based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the New Jersey Department of Health. Updates about rescheduling will be provided as soon as we’re able to renew normal activities.
Can I use other Club facilities during this time?
While the Clubhouse will not be open for use, you are free to use other Club facilities at your own risk while strictly observing existing Club rules and regulations and following current guidance from health officials on maintaining social distancing. Anticipating that members will be using various Club facilities, portable toilets have been ordered for the Clubhouse area (placed at Beach 2), Canistear Park, and Beach 1.
How do I pay my Club bills or dues?
For balance inquiries, call the Club Office at 973-764-4366 or email the Club – hlcc@warwick.net (don’t forget to include your membership number and a contact telephone number). Payment by check may be placed through the mail slot in the Club Office door or mailed to PO Box 578, Highland Lakes, NJ 07422. Consider using online banking.
When will 2020 badges/stickers be made available?
We are in the process of determining alternate approaches to the distribution of the 2020 member badges and permits. Once a decision has been made we will let you know.
Will the Newsette continue to publish print copies during this time?
Yes, printed copies will continue to be available at the Highland General Store, the Marketplace Deli, the Lake Wanda Store (while they remain open), and the US Post Office, and now on the porch at the Clubhouse.
