Updated August 29: Map Now Available! – Art On the Lawn – Moved to Sunday, August 30, 2020 – 11 am to 5 pm

Due to Saturday’s weather forecast of rain from remnants of Hurricane Laura, the presentation of Art On the Lawn by the Highland Lakes Artist Group has been moved to Sunday, August 30.

The HL “Art on the Lawn” event will take place on Sunday, August 30 (moved from August 29) from 11 am -5 pm. Display your art, your kids’ art, create an installation for all to enjoy throughout the “Art on the Lawn” event. Drive, bike, or walk around our creative Highland Lakes neighborhood and check out the creativity! Social distance as always!

The goal is to encourage a whole neighborhood to “show off your creativity day” from kids to adult, amateurs to pros. Show your paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and photos. Play music, dance, read poetry, create something on the spot.

While August 29 happens to be the “International Play Music on Your Porch Day” as well, feel free to make some music for all (or just the squirrels) to enjoy. A map will be created and shared with artists who have promised to display work so you will be sure to see some art as you get around the neighborhood.
