August 6, 2020 8 am: Power Outages Continue to Affect 500 Homes / Lake Room Open Until 5 pm
Update 4:30 pm: The Lake Room will close at 5 pm today. Sussex Rural Electric Cooperative made significant progress today restoring power with approximately 200 homes remaining without power. SREC projects most homes will have power restored by 9 pm this evening.
Published 8:30 am: According to Sussex Rural’s outage map, power outages remain throughout various neighborhoods affecting upwards of 500 residences. Power was restored last night to the Clubhouse around 7 pm.
Bathrooms, air conditioning, and WiFi are available in the Lake Room (overflow will be accommodated in the Craft Room) beginning at 9 am. Requirements?
- Governor Murphy’s Executive Order limits occupancy to not more than 25 persons at any time.
- face masks or coverings must be worn at all times.
- everyone must stay at least six feet apart.
- use the hand sanitizer stations in the rooms before and after touching surfaces.
- be prepared: bring you own extension cord. Please place a chair over the extension cord as a trip hazard warning to others.
