Important Health Notice – Main Lake Advisory & Lake 4 Watch

UPDATE August 28, 2023

– Main Lake –

Testing has confirmed the presence of a Harmful Algae Bloom (HAB) in Lake 2 (Main Lake), specifically around Beach 4.

Until further notice, Beaches 3 and 4 will remain under a HAB ADVISORY ALERT, which means they will be closed until follow-up samples indicate that the HAB has been reduced to a WATCH LEVEL or lower.

– Lake 4 –

A HAB WATCH ALERT has been issued for Lake 4. This level of alert doesn’t require the closure of the beach. All recreational activities can continue.

Please refrain from drinking the water or consuming fish from the lakes.

We’ve already contacted our treatment contractor, Lake Management Sciences, today for necessary treatment.

Required notices are being posted (see below). Further treatment and testing will be conducted, and updates will be shared as soon as they’re available.

We thank you for your understanding.
