Appreciation Dinners

Highland Lakes Country Club and Community Association provides many services and offers a wide variety of activities to its membership, the majority of which are run exclusively by membership volunteers. Volunteers sit on our Voting Board, check badges at the beaches, run our committees, clubs, athletics and clubhouse programs, and so much more. Thanks to the time and enthusiasm of our volunteers, activities are plentiful and the value of the services provided by our volunteers is immeasurable.

The Club reserves one night a year in late August for the Adult Appreciation dinner, recognizing and thanking approximately 300 adult volunteers (those 21 and older who performed at least 20 hours of volunteer service). Junior volunteers (those under 21 who performed at least 10 hours of volunteer service) are recognized as well late in August.

Adult Appreciation includes a buffet dinner, entertainment, and a presentation of a gift to show the Club’s appreciation to the volunteers. Similarly, Junior Appreciation includes a light dinner, snack, and gift. Acknowledgment, appreciation and recognition are also on the menu for both events—they represent great nights for our most active members to celebrate each other, laugh, and take pride with their peers in their contributions and accomplishments.
