Path to Goodwill
A pathway of gray pavers will soon replace the macadam path that encircles the flag pole on the Clubhouse lawn and trails down towards the water’s edge. Inscribed on these pavers will no doubt be the names of families and individuals who hold a tender spot in their hearts for Highland Lakes and all of the fun times that were shared through the years.
Don’t worry…you won’t need a shovel or a pick. But we are hoping you’ll lend your name to the effort.
Here’s our plan:
- We’ll be creating a pathway of gray pavers to replace the asphalt path that currently encircles the flag pole on the Clubhouse lawn and trails down towards the water’s edge.
- Our goal is to cover the walkway with the names of families and individuals who have a tender spot in their hearts for Highland Lakes and all of the fun times that were shared through the years.
- To be a part of this plan, reserve your paver by completing the form available at the Club office and submitting your check to benefit the Goodwill Fund.
- All reservations received by July 17th will be among the first to be installed in the pathway. Future installations will continue until all bricks are taken.
- It’s that easy!
Each paver inscribed with your unique message will cost $100 and will be enjoyed by everyone who takes a stroll down this memory lane. Be creative…celebrate the birth of a grandchild…remember a loved one…set your family name in stone…proclaim your love for that special someone. Each inscription can hold up to three lines with thirteen characters per line (including spaces.)
All proceeds after expenses are paid will benefit community members who have suffered a personal hardship caused by the death of a loved one; a serious illness; or another catastrophic life event which has made it impossible for them to maintain their status as members in good standing.
Our mission is to help neighbors in need. The Path to Goodwill will be a lasting testament to the heart that beats strong in Highland Lakes!
