Notice of Emergency Meeting of the Voting Board Pursuant to the By-Laws, Article IX, Meetings, Section III(d) and PREDFDA, the Voting Board will hold an emergency meeting at 4:00pm TODAY, Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the Clubhouse Lake Room. The single item on the agenda is to consider and approve the Settlement Agreement in the Municipal Services Act litigation with Vernon Township.

IMPORTANT REMINDER The annual dues and assessment letters have been mailed. The assessment includes an operating assessment and reserve assessment. An article explaining the changes can be found in the October 2023 Newsette. You now have three ways to pay, including two monthly payment plan options, making it even more convenient for members to manage these finances. You can pay in full or subscribe to a 6-month or 12-month payment plan. ALL Members MUST SELECT which payment option they prefer by checking the box on the slip that was included with your mailing and returning it to the Club Office, with your first payment, by November 15. Failure to submit a payment plan selection form by November 15th, will result in your account being charged the full annual assessment requiring payment in full with interest accruing at a rate of 1.5% per month (18% APR) for any unpaid balance. UPDATE August 28, 2023 - Main Lake - Testing has confirmed the presence of a Harmful Algae Bloom (HAB) in Lake 2 (Main Lake), specifically around Beach 4. Until further notice, Beaches 3 and 4 will remain under a HAB ADVISORY ALERT, which means they will be closed until follow-up samples indicate that the HAB has been reduced to a WATCH LEVEL or lower. - Lake 4 - A HAB WATCH ALERT has been issued for Lake 4. This level of alert doesn't require the closure of the beach. All recreational activities can continue. Please refrain from drinking the water or consuming fish from the lakes. We've already contacted our treatment contractor, Lake Management Sciences, today for necessary treatment. Required notices are being posted (see below). Further treatment and testing will be conducted, and updates will be shared as soon as they're available. The 2023 Annual Meeting will be held August 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The meeting will take place outdoors, on the Clubhouse lawn (weather permitting) or if raining, in the Seckler Room. A quorum requirement of 5% needs to be met [88 Members in attendance]. Members should wear their badge and have their Membership Card in order to vote. If you forget your card, a temporary card can be issued at the Activity Center. Members will be permitted to address the Voting Board at the microphone (be sure to state your name and section number). Out of courtesy to everyone in attendance we're asking statements are kept to a maximum of 2 minutes. A general agenda will include the Pledge of Allegiance, a review of the Order of Business, approval of last years' Annual Meeting Minutes, reports of the Officers & Trustees, Floor Open to Members, Elections of Officers & Trustees. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting on August 20, 2023, and by Absentee Ballots received by 4:00pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
