Call for Nomination of Trustee Candidates

At this year’s Annual Meeting on August 20, 2023, elections will be held for full, three-year terms commencing October 1, 2023, for Trustee positions for Sections 1, 3, 4, and 5. The election of a Trustee for Section 11 will also be held to fill the duration of the term which expires in October 2024.

Candidates for the Board of Trustees shall have been Active Members in good standing for each of the three (3) years immediately preceding the election. Members may nominate themselves or other qualified candidates by filing a nomination in writing with the Chair of the Elections Committee. Nominations may be delivered in person or mailed to the Club at P.O. Box 578, Highland Lakes, NJ 07422. Due to a change in state law, petitions are no longer required for nomination or to run as a candidate for a position on the Voting Board.

All nominations must be received at the Club office not later than Thursday, July 20, 2023.

The Elections Committee Chairperson shall announce the names of the prospective Trustee candidates to the membership by publishing same in the Newsette and by posting them on the Club bulletin board at least seven (7) days prior to the election.

Once the candidates have been certified by the Elections Chairperson, Absentee Ballots will be made available. Absentee Ballots must be received at the Club Office, either by mail or in person no later than Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 4 pm. The Club is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.

Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting on August 20, 2023. If you do not use an Absentee Ballot and plan to vote at the Annual Meeting, please make sure that you attend this meeting and that you have your 2023 Membership Card and badge with you.
