Mark your calendars, art enthusiasts! 🎨✨ Let’s celebrate the beauty of our community and the creativity it inspires. The 63rd Highland Lakes Art Show is making its grand return on Sunday, July 23, 2023. At 2:00 pm, the exhibit unfurls its creative canvas, followed by an awards ceremony at 3:00 pm.
This year, we’re celebrating the best of the best with monetary awards for ‘Best in Show’, ‘First Place in all age and media categories’, ‘Best Photograph of a Highland Lakes Scene’, and ‘Best Representation of Tree(s)’. 🌳📸
2023’s exciting new theme: ‘Birds of the Lake’! We’re honoring our beautiful lake community and our feathered friends who share it with us. 🦆🌊
Showcase your talents in paintings, drawings, computer graphics, photography, crafts, sculpture, needlework, quilting, mixed media – you name it! 🖼️🧵🗿
Registration begins bright and early at 9:00 am on the day of the show, concluding promptly at 10:30 am. Just bring your masterpiece(s) to the Clubhouse, along with 50 cents and a registration form for each entry. (Forms can be found in the Newsette and will also be available at registration.)
And remember, all paintings, drawings, and photographs should be matted, framed, and ready to hang. 🖼️
Our traditional ‘Meet the Artists’ reception for members and their guests will be held the night before. Join us for an elegant evening of wine, cheese, live music, and professional exhibits in the Lake Room on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. 🍷🧀🎶
