Call for Nomination of Officers and Trustee Candidates Filing

Deadline – Saturday, July 19, 2025

At this year’s Annual Meeting on August 17, 2025, elections will be held.

All five officer positions are up for election as well as for four full, three-year terms commencing October 1, 2025, for trustee positions for Sections 6, 7, 8 and 12.

Candidates for the Voting Board shall have been members in good standing for each of the three (3) years immediately preceding the election.

Members may nominate themselves or other qualified candidates by filing a nomination in writing with the Chair of the Elections Committee.

Nominations may be delivered in person, by email to info@hlcc.org, or mailed to the Club at P.O. Box 578, Highland Lakes, NJ 07422.

Due to a change in state law, petitions are no longer required for nomination or to run as a candidate for a position on the Voting Board.

All nominations must be received at the Club Office not later than Saturday, July 19, 2025.

The Elections Committee Chairperson shall announce the names of the prospective officer and trustee candidates to the membership by publishing same in the Newsette and by posting them on the Club bulletin board at least seven (7) days prior to the election.

Once the candidates have been certified by the Elections Chairperson, absentee ballots will be made available.

Absentee ballots must be received at the Club Office, either by mail or in person no later than Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 4 pm.

The Club is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. Absentee ballots cannot be emailed due to the return envelope process.

Elections will be held at the Annual Meeting on August 17, 2025.

If you do not use an absentee ballot and plan to vote at the Annual Meeting, please make sure that you attend this meeting and that you have your 2025 Membership Card and badge with you.
